The purpose of this Amended Planning Proposal is to amend the current height and floor space controls that apply to the Ryde Civic Precinct under Ryde Local Environmental Plan 2010.

A previous Planning Proposal prepared by JBA Planning dated August 2011 was publicly exhibited by Council between 10 August and 21 September 2011.

The original Planning Proposal sought to increase the maximum permissible height of buildings on the Ryde Civic Centre site to RL130 and to reduce the maximum permissible floorspace from 100.000m2 to 60,000m2 for the Ryde Civic Precinct.

Council on 18 October 2011 resolved that a Planning Proposal with amended height controls) for the Ryde Civic Precinct be re-exhibited for 28 days.

The Amended Planning Proposal - Ryde Civic Precinct reflects the diagram below and implements Council’s resolution of 18 October 2011.
