On Australia Day, we come together as a nation to celebrate our diverse society and landscape, our remarkable achievements and our bright future. It is also a chance to reflect on our nation's history, and to consider how we can make Australia an even better place in future.

Australia Day Events

Celebrations begin with our official Australia Day ceremony where the Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year are announced and new citizens are welcomed. There is also an address by our Australia Day Ambassador. Then join the community at the City of Ryde's annual family concert at North Ryde Common with rides, sports, food stalls and a great line up of entertainment, ending with a spectacular firework display.

Celebrations continue several days later at the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre with pool inflatables, games, prizes, giveaways and plenty of fun for the whole family.
