City of Ryde holds an annual Community Christmas Celebration as well as carols in Eastwood Plaza.

Always popular, these events are a great way for the community to celebrate the festive season together. More details available later in year.

Community Christmas Celebration

Ryde Park, Blaxland Rd, Ryde

The Mayor and Councillors of the City of Ryde invite all the community to celebrate the season at our annual Community Christmas Celebration. Christmas is a time for friends and family to come together to share, so what better way to celebrate than with a giant community Christmas party in one of the City of Ryde’s beautiful parks!

Festivities include:

• Santa’s Cave: Santa makes a grand entrance in a fire truck and then is in his cave to hear requests from the girls and boys
• Kids crafts and entertainment
• Local entertainment for mums and dads
• Free sausage sizzle and refreshments

Carols in the Plaza

Eastwood Plaza, Eastwood

Join in City of Ryde's annual Carols in the Eastwood Plaza, featuring local choirs and performers and all your favourite Christmas carols.

Free glow candles and Santa hats are available on the evening and plenty of seating will be provided underneath the decorated Plaza trellis.

Why not invite your family and friends to come along and share in celebrating the Christmas season, and perhaps grab a bite to eat at one of the many local cafes or restaurants also located within the Plaza.

Rotary Carols on the Common

North Ryde Common, cnr Twin and Wicks Roads, North Ryde

Families, neighbours and friends join together at North Ryde Common to share in the Christmas spirit. A fireworks display is the finale of this annual event organised by North Ryde and Macquarie Park Rotary Club and sponsored by the City of Ryde.
