In July 2010 the City of Ryde hosted a meeting with key agencies, organisations and services for young people in the Ryde area. At this meeting it was identified that an Interagency is required for youth and youth-related agencies, organisations and services in the Ryde and Hunters Hill areas.

Subsequently, the Ryde Hunters Hill Youth Interagency was established. The Interagency works to:

• have an understanding of the needs and concerns of young people and youth workers
• create a youth space
• create more accessible youth services in Ryde and Hunters Hill local government areas.
