The Ryde Youth Theatre (RYT) has successfully been running for 3 years. We are currently engaging a new Artistic Director. This new person will assist the young people in determining the future of the program.

Please don't despair! RYT will continue to:

• have awesome workshops 
• seek wicked opportunities to work with others
• produce a brilliant end of year performance

This being said, there is always room for more young people to join, participate and collaborate with the Ryde Youth Theatre. We look forward to a brilliant 2012.

2012 Workshops

Drama workshops begin Tuesday 14 February!

Who: 13 - 17 years
When: Tuesdays, 6.30 - 9.30pm. Begins 14 February and runs for 8 weeks.
How much: $5 per workshop
Venue: Macquarie Centre Community Room, Shop 458 (next to DHS X-Ray) Macquarie Shopping Centre, corner Herring Road and Waterloo Road, North Ryde. Enter through top level car park.

About Ryde Youth Theatre

Ryde Youth Theatre began as an initiative of a Youth Council member in 2009 to provide an accessible performing arts program for young people, run by young people in the City of Ryde. RYT has four years of dedicated funding; an evaluation is completed at the end of each financial year to inform how the program will be directed in future years.

In 2011-2012 the following key areas for development have been outlined:

• build the program through connections, partnerships and mentoring, 
• locate a new space for the group, 
• continue current program activities of workshops and performances
