Youth Environment Prize
The annual Youth Environment Prize (YEP!) Art Competition invites young artists to submit artwork created from recycled or reused materials (or multimedia). The competition is open to everyone who lives, works, studies or plays in the City of Ryde Local Government Area, between the ages of 12 and 25 years.
This year's themes are Ecosystems and Biodiversity, Recycling and Resource Recovery.
2011 Winners
Waste to Art
A piece of work that is constructed from pre-used human made and recycled materials to restore or create a piece with a functional purpose or to create an artwork.
12 - 15 years category
- Winner: Anastasia Grzybowski
- Runner Up: Christine Plummer
16 - 18 years category
- Winner: Remy Miles and Agie Wirihadi
- Runner Up: Jessica Jung and Fiona Yu
Multimedia
A piece of work utilising mediums such as photography, PowerPoint, graphic design or short video. Multimedia pieces should relate to the biodiversity and ecosystems theme.
12 - 15 years category
- Winner: Ebony Orrin
- Tyler Morris and Joseph Gough
