Consultation on the draft DCP closed on 4 May 2012.

Ryde Riverwalk: Next Stage
Consultation on the first phase of the project to develop two new sections of the Riverwalk has closed. Information on the next phase will be available soon.

Parramatta River Ryde Sub Catchments Flood Study and Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan
The Flood Study Survey has closed but there will be further opportunities to be involved and provide feedback.

Ryde Civic Precinct Redevelopment
Following the re-exhibition period, the amended Proposal went back to Council on 13 December 2011, where it was resolved to forward the proposal to the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure for determination. The amended LEP was recommended for approval by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure and gazetted in March 2012. 
Expression of Interest were then sought from suitable organisations in the property industry and Council is currently reviewing tenders from the shortlisted submissions. 

Completed Community Consultations

DCP 2010 Part 4.4 Ryde Town Centre
Council adopted the draft Development Control Plan (DCP) 2010 - Part 4.4 Ryde Town Centre with amendment at the 18 March 2012 Council meeting. The DCP 2010 - Part 4.4 Ryde Town Centre provides controls on built form, setbacks, land uses, access requirements and environmental sustainability for sites in Precinct 1 Civic/Mixed Use. These controls support Ryde LEP 2010 (Amendment 2) which introduced a maximum building height for the area. The Plan came into effect on 18 April 2012.

DCP 2010 Part 9.3 Parking
In July this year Council commenced preparation of amending parking controls. Draft Ryde Development Control Plan 2010 Part 9.3 Parking was publicly exhibited and community comment invited. Council considered the draft plan and all submissions that were received and on 22 November 2011 resolved to adopt the plan. It was brought into effect from 14 December 2011.
