Draft Ryde LEP 2011 & Draft Ryde DCP 2011

Public exhibition: 30 May - 13 July 2012

The draft Ryde Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2011 and draft Ryde Development Control Plan (DCP) 2011 have been prepared to guide future growth in the City of Ryde over the next 10 years.

The community is invited to consider the draft Plans and make comment before any decision is made as to whether the Plans should be adopted.

Note 1: The Department of Planning & Infrastructure has advised that, following the exhibition, the draft LEP may be changed to satisfy legal drafting requirements and amendments to local Model Clauses.

: As required by section 66(1)(b)(iii) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, it is advised that the standard instrument , environmental planning instruments and s.117 Directions that are exhibited along with the draft local environmental plan substantially govern the content and operation of the draft local environmental plan and any submissions made pursuant to section 67 of the Act should be made having regard to that fact. Section 67 of the Act provides that any person may during the period of the exhibition as advertised, make a submission in writing to the council with respect to the provisions of the draft local environmental plan.

Please note: all submissions received during the 'Community Comment' exhibition period of draft LEP 2011 will be taken into consideration and given as much weight as those received during the formal exhibition period.

It is Council’s policy that all submissions in relation to draft controls will be publicly accessible on request. Supply of personal information is voluntary, however anonymous submissions may be given less weight.
