An U12s and U13s Rugby team from Namibia will visit the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre on Friday 5 May at 12 noon as part of a two-week tour.

The Namibia Sport 4 Jesus group of 42 players will play a variety of local rugby teams and are taking time out to visit the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre where they will use the indoor sports facilities and pools, and try their skills on the Surf Ryder.

Clr Roy Maggio, Chairman of the Sport and Recreation Committee said he is delighted to welcome the team to Ryde.  “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these boys to represent their country and to grow from the experience.

“I believe this team is a very well-drilled and disciplined side, so chances are they will give our teams a run for their money!”
