Our Quality of Life Report

The City of Ryde working with the Centre for Social Impact from the University of New South Wales have developed a set of community indicators to track various wellbeing issues in the City of Ryde.

The Quality of Life Indicators Report is a result of that work, presenting 56 measures of wellbeing across the seven aspirational outcomes identified in the Ryde 2021 Community Strategic Plan.

The Quality of Life Indicators Report is a  publicly available document that provides data for and measures a range of policy areas, provides a baseline for future measurement, and benchmarks against other selected local government areas to assess the City’s performance.

Aligning with the collection and release of census information, the community indicators process will be iterative and over time will include additional measures as the need for data on other policy areas arises, and also allow for trend analysis against baseline information.

As well as a valuable information resource in their own right, the indicators will be used to engage the community of specific issues, as a call to action and development of partnerships with non-government, government and business sectors, and to fulfil Council’s legislative requirements to report against the Community Strategic Plan.
