Local Environmental Plan (LEP)

Ryde Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2010 - a consolidating Plan for the City of Ryde was gazetted on 30 June 2010 and came into force on that day.

In accordance with a Council resolution of 16 June 2009 Ryde Development Control Plan 2010 came into force on the date of the gazettal of LEP 2010.

These two Plans are now relevant for any development applications lodged on and after 30 June 2010. For any development applications lodged prior to this date and that have not yet been determined by Council, the Ryde Planning Scheme is still in place.

Please note for all land identified as a deferred matter under LEP 2010 the Ryde Planning Scheme and DCP 2010 are the relevant planning documents to be taken into account.

Ryde LEP 2010 is an LEP that has taken the provisions of the Ryde Planning Scheme Ordinance and, where necessary, development standards contained in Development Control Plan 2006, and within the constraints of the Standard LEP, makes as close as possible a ‘like for like’ transfer of those provisions into the Standard LEP.

LEP 2010 is a consolidating LEP that will be in place until the gazettal of a comprehensive LEP for the City of Ryde.
