Trees

Trees play an important role in the ‘greening’ of our city. They make our surroundings pleasant, provide relief from summer’s heat and reduce glare from the pavement. They also increase the value of real estate. Trees also reduce runoff and improve the quality of the air we breathe.
Our trees are a precious resource that need to be managed carefully and the Council has a detailed tree management and maintenance program.
