Fortnightly Recycling Collection
Each residence is provided with one 240 litre, yellow-lid recycle bin that is emptied fortnightly on the same day as the garbage collection. Additional bins are available (extra charge applies), see the Residential Bins section for more information.
Council will collect:
paper and cardboard
pizza boxes (with food scraps removed) and lid separated
all see-through glass bottles and jars made of green, brown and clear glass
aluminium and steel cans, including aerosol cans, oil cans and empty (dry) paint cans
plastic containers with numbers 1 - 7
milk and juice cartons.
Council will NOT collect:
facial tissues, waxed paper, paper towels and/or carbon paper
ceramics and porcelain, white (malibu) glass, pyrex cookware, mirrors or windows, light globes, sheet glass and poison bottles
plastic bags, clingwrap, foam or polystyrene
garden waste - put into your greenwaste bin.
