One person’s trash is another’s treasure so why not gather together your unwanted household items and hold a garage sale?

Garage Sales are a great way to meet the neighbours, claim back some much needed space in your home and turn your unwanted items into money in your pocket. By participating in SecondHand Saturday you can help to reduce the amount of reusable items going to landfill and also have less to put out for your next kerbside collection.

How does it work?

• City Of Ryde will advertise your garage sale in the Northern District Times on the Wednesday prior to the event and also feature your garage sale in our ‘What’s on’ section.
• Registered SecondHand Saturday events will receive a pack including tips on hosting a successful garage sale and three posters to promote your event.

Important: To ensure that your event is included in the Northern District Times, registration must be received at least 10 business days prior to your desired SecondHand Saturday event. Registration requests received outside of this time frame will still be eligible for the information pack but will only be advertised on Council’s website.
