Road Closures

Road closures and traffic changes will be in effect around Eastwood town centre from:

6 pm Friday 20 October to 10 pm Saturday 21 October (or until safe to re-open)

Festival Road and Car Park Closures

The following closures will be in place from 6pm Friday 20 October until 10pm (or until streets are cleared) on Saturday 21 October:

  • Rowe Street - between Shaftsbury Rd and the Avenue

  • Trelawney Street - between Rowe St and Eastwood Centre carpark entry 

  • Progress Avenue

  • Hillview Lane car park

The following road will be closed from 10pm Friday 20 October until 10pm (or until streets are cleared) on Saturday 21 October:

  • Hillview Road – between West Parade and Lakeside Road

The following road will be closed from 6am until 7pm on Saturday 21 October: 

  • Lakeside Road – between Glen Street and The Avenue (car park access only beyond Glen Street)

  • Hillview Lane – between Shaftsbury Road and Lakeside Road

  • West Parade- between Wingate Ave and the West Parade Overpass - PLEASE NOTE NEW ROAD CLOSURE 

Parade Road Closures

The following roads will be closed from 5am - 11am on Saturday 21 October for the street parade:

  • Lakeside Road - between Wingate Avenue and Hillview Road

The following roads will be closed from 8am - 11am on Saturday 21 October for the street parade:

  • Lakeside Road - between Wingate Avenue and Glen Street
  • Clive Road

The following roads will be closed from approximately 9am - 11am on Saturday 21 October for the street parade:

  • Shaftsbury Road - between Terry Road and Rutledge Street
  • Hillview Road - between Terry Road and Lakeside Road
  • Glen Street
  • Rowe Street - between Shaftsbury Road and Tarrants Avenue
  • Richards Avenue - between Auld Avenue and Shaftsbury Road

Glen Street Car Park - exit closures for duration of parade

All Glen Street car park exits will be closed from 9am - 11am on Saturday 21 October for the street parade:

  • no entry or exit to the car park will be allowed between 9am - 11am or until the street parade has passed.

  • if you have not exited the car park before 9am, please be patient and enjoy the parade

Temporary No Stopping zones

Temporary No Stopping zones will be in place from 6am - 9pm on Saturday 21 October at the following locations:

  • both sides of Rutledge Street between Trelawney Street and Shaftsbury Road
  • the eastern side of Shaftsbury Road between Rowe Street and Rutledge Street

Temporary No Right Turn conditions on Shaftsbury Road

There will be no right turn northbound from Shaftsbury Road into Hillview Lane  from 8am - 7pm on Saturday 21 October.

Vehicle access to the accessible drop-off zone in Hillview Lane is via Shaftsbury Road southbound – left turn only. There will be no right turn permitted for vehicles exiting Hillview Lane into Shaftsbury Road.

Changes to bus routes / stops

Due to the new closure of West Parade, all buses have been diverted to pick up and set down on the East side of Eastwood Train Station.

The following bus routes will be affected and bus diversions in place from 10pm Friday 20 October to 10.30pm on Saturday 21 October:

  • 515
  • 544
  • 545
  • 521

The following bus stops CLOSED due to Granny Smith Festival are as follows:

  • 2117121 Terry Rd Opp Darvall Rd 
  • 2122127 Terry Rd Opp Tarrants Av
  • 2122211 Terry Rd before Midson Rd
  • 2122122 Hillview Rd after Clive RD
  • 212214   Eastwood Station, West Pde
  • 2122121 St Kevins, Hillview Rd
  • 2122123 Marist Bros, Hillview Rd
  • 2122124 Terry Rd at Shaftsbury Rd
  • 2122126 Terry Rd at Tarrants Ave
  • 2122128 Terry Rd at Darvall Rd
  • 2122218 Clanalpine St Nr Trelawney St
  • 2122219 Clanalpine St Nr Trelawney St
