Thinking about building a new home, dual occupancy, secondary dwelling or just renovating ?

If you are considering building a new home, a dual occupancy, secondary dwelling or just renovating within the City of Ryde, Council’s Building + Development Advisory Service team is holding an information seminar on the requirements of both State

Planning Policies and Council's Development Control Plans as relating to residential development, as well as how to go about lodging a development application and obtaining approval.

It provides home owners, local builders and designers with the knowledge required to make informed choices. It's an opportunity to learn about both State and Council's policies and controls that relate to residential development 

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • What is the NSW Housing Code & the Exempt & Complying Development Codes , State Environmental Planning Policy  (SEPP)?   
  • What are Council's development controls as relating to residential development ?
  • What are the environmental constraints that you may need to address on your site ?
  • How and when to lodge a Development or Complying Development Application ?   
  • What is a BASIX certificate ?
