One Thousand Wishes Community Workshop

Attend one of the public community workshops to make a wish and be guided to create an origami horse that will be included in the final artwork.

There is no need to register your attendance at this event, just turn up within the workshop times. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes for you to complete your origami horse.

When and Where

  • Wednesday 26 October 2016, 12pm - 2pm
    West Ryde Library (2 Graf Avenue, West Ryde)
  • Friday 28 October 2016, 11am - 1pm
    Eastwood Library (Cnr Hillview Road and West Parade, Eastwood)

The final artwork will be created by Artisans Ryde, and will be unveiled in a celebratory event on 23 November 2016. To Register your attendance please visit www.ryde.nsw.gov.au/onethousandwishes.

As part of the 2016 Social Inclusion Week celebrations, the City of Ryde has partnered with Ability Links and Artisans Ryde to promote social inclusion through the One Thousand Wishes project. This project aims to raise awareness and promote Social Inclusion, embrace and celebrate diversity within the City of Ryde by creating 1000 origami horses containing a personal wish that will be combined to form an artwork
