Inter Library Loans
If an item you need is not available at any of the Ryde libraries, you can request a copy through the Inter Library Loans service.
Items that can be obtained include books, articles, DVDs, CDs and community language material.
Recently published material cannot be requested as an Inter-Library Loan. A suggestion for purchase can be made on recently published titles, within the guidelines provided.
How much does it cost?

If the item is obtained from a public library - $2.10 processing fee.

If the item is only available from a university, special library or state libraries - $2.10 processing fee + $16.50 + levy and delivery charges. See the Australian Interlibrary Resource Sharing (ILRS) Code (Service Level Standards) for more details.
Requesting an Inter Library Loan

Check our Library Catalogue first to ensure the item is not available at any of the Ryde libraries.

If the item is not available you can place a request by calling or visiting any of our Ryde libraries.
When will the item arrive?
Delivery times vary depending on the availability of the item at the library approached, the type of material requested, and also where it is coming from.
Rare, specialised, older items, difficult to find material and high demand items can take longer to obtain.
When the item is available for collection, you will be notified by either post or email.
