Report a Public Health Risk

Owners and occupiers of premises have a responsibility to prevent public health risks from occurring.

Common public health risks include:

  • Sewer leaks or overflows
  • Overgrown land
  • Accumulated rubbish
  • Inadequate waste storage and handling facilities
  • Defective or inadequate roofwater guttering, downpipes or drainage
  • Neglected swimming pools.

Council Environmental Health Officers investigate complaints about public health risks and can issue orders where necessary.

Complaints may be made by contacting Council’s Customer Service Centre on 9952 8222.
