What is an RSS Feed?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds are an easy way to keep up with website updates without having to visit the website constantly. When a website is updated, the RSS feed will notify you and give you a link to the new content.
How do I get started?
You will need a feed reader (news reader) or aggregator. There are many free or commercial feed reader applications available for download. Different feed readers work on different operating systems, so choose one that will work with your computer. See Wikipedia’s RSS Reader entry for lists of feed readers.
If you are using a current browser (Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 2+, Safari 2+, Opera 9+) there is already a feed reader built in. Just click on the link to the feed and browser will display the feed and/or prompt you to subscribe.
