Weekly Garbage Service
One 140L wheelie bin is provided to each residence and is emptied once weekly.
Additional 140L bins are available at a cost of $237 per service, per annum. An upgrade from a 140L bin to a 240L bin is available at a cost of $227 per service, per annum.
Only Council issued bins will be emptied and excess garbage in bags or cartons will not be collected.
Bins overflowing, weighing greater than 70kg and/or containing the following outlined unacceptable material will also not be emptied.
Material unacceptable in the weekly garbage service includes ashes (hot or cold), tree stumps, liquids (e.g. oil, paint), large pieces of metal, excavated material (e.g. sand, stones) and building material.

Fortnightly Recycling and Vegetation Service
Each residence is provided with a 240L, yellow-lid recycling bin and a 240L vegetation bin. Both are emptied fortnightly (alternate weeks) on the same day as the garbage collection.
Additional recycling or green waste bins are available at a cost of $37 per bin (per annum).

Council Cleanup Collection
The Council provides 5 scheduled Council Cleanup Collections per year.
This service allows disposal of bulky wastes, which are not otherwise accepted. The Cleanup accepts household goods, metal/whitegood and tied and bundled green waste. To ensure the recycling of metal/whitegoods and green waste, please place them separately from other household items. The metal.whitegoods and other green waste itens are collected by separate trucks for recycling.
A waste collection calendar is distributed to residents each financial year indicating the dates of the scheduled Cleanups.
Council Cleanup Collection - What's acceptable
- metal and whitegoods (remove all doors)
- furniture, mattresses, carpet and linoluem (rolled and tied)
- TVs, small appliances, toys and bikes
- garden vegetation (tied and bundled) no longer than 2 metres and no thicker than your arm per item.
Council Cleanup Collection Restrictions
- items must be no longer than 2m
- commercial building wastes, dirt, sand or stones; car parts, batteries or tyres; gas bottles or liquids including paints or solvents are NOT permitted
- each household is limited to 3 cubic metres of material (around one trailer box load)
- branches must be tied and bundled, no longer than 2m, no thicker that a human arm and able to be lifted by one person
- cleanup collection may take until the Friday of the designated week to complete
- goods may be placed out no sooner than the weekend prior to collection or a fine for illegal dumping may be incurred
- acceptable materials include furniture (not more than 2 metres long), small appliances (remove all doors), carpet and linoleum (rolled and tied) and mattresses
