Sustainability Product Information Kit and Rebates
Council at its meeting held on 18th November 2008 approved 4 separate 'How to' sustainability product information kits covering:
Each of these easy to read kits explain the rebates that apply to each product and provides guidance that will assist the Ryde community members in navigating their way through the complicated approval, installation and rebate recovery processes. In addition, each of the kits, except the ceiling insulation information kit, includes the names of preferred suppliers and installers that local residents may wish to approach for a quote. These companies were short listed from many proposals and were considered by Council at the date of assessment as having the most preferred credentials to ensure value for money. However, please note that the City of Ryde will not be involved in any direct or indirect negotiations between the supplier/installer and resident. Residents can still approach any suppliers/installer of their choice. The City of Ryde hopes that the kits will increase community awareness on how to incorporate sustainable practices into local buildings and encourage the installation of more energy smart and water wise products in local homes to save water, energy and reduce carbon emissions.
