Who can borrow?
Any child from birth to their seventh birthday can borrow once they have their own membership card.

Parental Responsibilities
For:
- Selection of toys they consider suitable.
- Use of the child's card for borrowing.
- Supervision of their child's play with a toy.
Ryde Library Services is not responsible for any injury or damage arising from the use of a toy.
- Return of toys in good working condition i.e. clean, complete, undamaged and in their toy bags with tags attached.
Borrowing Conditions
- Two toys per child may be borrowed for up to three weeks.
- No reservations may be placed on toys.
- No renewals for loans of toys.
- Toys may only be borrowed from and returned to North Ryde Library during branch library opening hours.
- For your convenience, puzzles need to be handed to staff 'made up'.
- When you return a toy, you must wait for staff to check that it is in good condition before another can be borrowed. A returned toy will not be accepted if any pieces are missing from it, unless payment is made for loss and damage.
- If you lose a toy piece and the toy is still suitable for loan you are required to pay $6.00 (non-refundable) per piece. If a toy is not suitable for loan, is lost or is damaged you are required to pay the full replacement charge plus the standard $15.00 (incl. GST) processing charge.
- If you lose the toy bag or tag you are required to pay a $1.50 replacement charge.
- An overdue notice will be sent when toys are overdue by seven days and will incur a $5.00 (Including GST) notice processing fee per notice.
When toys are overdue, a $2.50 weekly fine will be charged.
- Borrowing cannot continue until payment is made for any loss or damage.
