City of Ryde Council has passed an historic resolution to take the first major steps towards its visionary plan for the redevelopment of the Ryde Town Centre.
Council has approved the signing of a Put and Call Option for the sale of a stratum lot at 1 Devlin Street, as well as the signing of an Agreement to Lease land under and over Devlin Street, to Bevillesta Pty Ltd (subject to the approval of the Director of Planning and concurrence of the RTA).
The sale of the 1317 sqm of Council-owned land, and the lease of land under and over Devlin Street, provide the basis for an integrated traffic management solution for the construction of ramps, underpasses and spurs, which will provide enhanced access to both the current Civic Centre site as well as the proposed redeveloped Top Ryde Shopping Centre.
The signing of contracts will take place as follows:
When: 10.00am, Friday 16 December 2005
Where: Mayor’s Office, Level 6, City of Ryde Council Chambers, 1 Devlin Street, Ryde
Signatories will be available for interviews and comment after the signing. Artist impressions will be available on disc on the day.
