Do you have an inkling to improvise? Do you like to re-act? Then the stage is set for local youths to explore their creativity and discover hidden talents when the newly formed Ryde Youth Theatre’s ‘Improv Games’ program gets under way this month.
Starting on Thursday 19 February, with a short introductory workshop, the program is ideal for the first-time-improviser to the well-seasoned-theatric. Through experienced tutors Jonathan Briden, (renowned Cranston Cup winner/finalist), and 18 yo Jimmy Tredinnick (Impro Australia Theatresports School’s Competition winner/finalist), you’ll learn a range of improvisation skills and techniques that will open up a new world of expression, build up social skills and boost confidence.
Targeting 15-21 year olds, ‘Improv Games’ is an initiative of the Ryde Youth Council, and provides a new outlet for boundless energy and expression.
