A free seminar for local home-based business operators to help them get ahead and stay ahead will be held on Tuesday 26 May as part of NSW Home-Based Business Week.
The seminar is an action area of the new Economic Development Strategy launched recently by the City of Ryde Council that will help assist local business in the current financial downturn and is presented in partnership with the Department of State and Regional Development and the Ryde Business Forum.
“There are hundreds of home-based businesses in our local area, all contributing to our local economy,” says City of Ryde’s Economic Development Manager, Paul William-Smith.
“The variety of businesses is only matched by the creativity of their owners, and this free seminar is designed to help them to keep ahead of today’s business challenges, share skills, instil confidence and network with people already in business, or keen to get into one.”
Central to the seminar are presentations from NSW State & Regional Development is keynote speakers:

And local entrepreneurs:
