As the cold weather approaches, Ryde Library Services is once again gearing up for the ABC Knit In which supports the charity Wrap with Love. This group provides knitted or crocheted rugs to cold people, anywhere in the world.
Each branch library will be a collection points for squares or completed rugs. In addition, knitting sessions will be held during June and July, as follows:
- West Ryde Library: 11 June, 25 June, 9 July, 23 July, 1.00-3.00pm
- Eastwood Library: every 2nd Wednesday from 10.30am -1.00pm
- Gladesville Library: every Monday night from 5.30 -7.30pm (except June 8)
Can’t knit? Perhaps you can help sew the squares together!
Can’t sew or knit? Perhaps you can donate some 8-ply acrylic yarn to keep our knitters busy!

The culmination of this work is the grand Knit In on August 7 held at the ABC studios in Ultimo. This year Ryde Libraries will be holding a similar event so, look out for further information.
