Following the popularity of the first series of Catchment Connections workshops, the City of Ryde is hosting a follow up series of free workshops for residents through July and August at Gladesville Library.
The Catchment Connections workshops show how everyday actions impact on the numerous small local creeks which all flow into the Lane Cove River.
“Our local creeks are home to an amazing array of plants and wildlife and the decisions we make in our homes and gardens, such as the chemicals we use, how we design our gardens and the plants we choose, can make a big difference to their health,” the Mayor said.
Catchment Connections covers the Terrys Creek, Mars Creek, Shrimptons Creek and Buffalo Creek catchments.
Series 2 of Catchment Connections will be held at Gladesville Library Community Meeting Room. Bookings are essential and places are limited. Phone 9952 8222.
