You can at the Living Library next month when the City of Ryde celebrates the diversity of its community in a totally unique way.
Ryde Library Services Manager, Jill Webb explains: “In a Living Library you “borrow” a real person known as a Living Book to sit down and have a chat with for about half an hour. You might find yourself talking to a world traveller, an historian, a refugee, or even a mortuary worker!
“A Living Library is a way of passing on information, learning about people and extending our horizons,” she said.
More than 30 locals have answered the call to become Living Books and all are eager to pass on details of their occupations, hobbies and life stories.
Living Books make for fascinating insights, so come in for a browse and see what happens when the book talks back. You can borrow a Living Book at:
