September is Big for Small Business

Small Business September is big news for the over 13,000 small businesses operating in the City of Ryde.
Now in its tenth year, Small Business September is the biggest event on the small to medium businesses calendar, with a series of free seminars tailored to the needs of small business operators.
City of Ryde Mayor, Clr Vic Tagg said: “This annual event highlights the important role that small business plays in the social and economic fabric of the region. In this tough economic environment, City of Ryde and the Ryde Business Forum are proud to support the growth and prosperity of this important business sector.”
Small Business September Seminars:
Raising Capital and Accelerating Growth in a Declining Economy Thursday 3 September, 8.00am – 11.30am, CSIRO, Riverside Corporate Park, 11 Julius Avenue, North Ryde A step-by-step approach for preparing to raise capital in today’s marketplace.
Doing Business with Foxtel Thursday 10 September, 8.00am – 11.30am, Foxtel Campus, 5 Thomas Holt Drive (off Waterloo Road) A unique networking opportunity to speak face-to-face with the Foxtel Television Centre’s Production Services Management, tour the Foxtel campus and be introduced to a diverse range of services in studios, post-production, sound design, DesignFTC, DVD authoring and duplication and communications.
Opportunity Upturn in an Economic Downturn Friday 18 September, 8.30am – 12.30pm, North Ryde RSL There are plenty of opportunities for business, even in the current economic climate. The trick is knowing where to find them. This is the second seminar in the Managing Through Turbulent Times series.
