 Magic And Fun At The Children’s Festival

Sunday 27 September, Darvall Park, 10.00am – 2.00pm

Magic, face painting, crafts, rides and jumping castles are just some of the activities lined up to keep little ones amused for hours at this year’s Children’s Festival at Darvall Park, on Sunday 27 September.  

Unlimited ride entry is $10 per Child 12 months and over, or $25 per family (3 children or more).

A joint promotion of Ryde Epping Zone of Playgroups and the City of Ryde’s Community Services Unit, The Chidlren’s Festival is designed to promote imagination, creativity and free play for children 0 – 6 years of age.

City of Rydes Manager - Community & Culture, Baharak Sahebekhtiari, said: “The Children’s Festival celebrates Children’s Week and is unique in that it specifically caters for the amusement and enjoyment of young children. 

“This is an event for families to enjoy a day of high quality activities in an entertaining, relaxed and safe environment.”

Darvall Park will be transformed into a delightful wonderland featuring magic shows, dancing spectaculars, music and movement shows, animal farm, face painting, jumping castles and amusement rides.  Various craft areas will let kids decorate theor own bookmark or fantasy cut-out, stuff their own caterpillar toy, or make a play dough masterpiece.

Families are encouraged to bring along a picnic rug for lunch in the park, with plenty of food and refreshment options available. 

City of Ryde Community Service staff will be in attendance to promote immunisation, vacation care, library services and children’s safety.
