“The Core” Rocks @ Granny Smith
Tuesday 13 October 2009
Saturday, 17 October 2009 Hillview Lane Car Park, Eastwood, 1.00-5.00pm
Every year, local teens gravitate to “The Core” at the Granny Smith Festival, their dedicated meeting place that rocks throughout the day. The free youth event, now in its sixth year, offers a place to hang out with friends, enjoy live music by local brands and take part in youth-focused activities.
This year’s “Core” attractions include:
- Live Bands
- Amusements incl climbing wall, bronco bull ride, gladiator duels
- Stalls & Giveaways
“The venue recognises the need to establish a safe and interesting precinct for youth within the Festival grounds”, says Council’s Community Project Officer – Young People & Leisure. “The format has been designed to ensure that a large cross section of young people is catered for in relation to music preference and recreation.”
