New Look Recycling Stations for Eastwood

As part of Council’s ongoing work to upgrade local shopping centres, the Mayor, Clr Vic Tagg, will inspect the first batch of new waste/recycling stations recently installed in Eastwood Plaza, with new Eastwood Place Manager, Joe Wright.  Twenty eight bins in total will be installed around the shopping area.

The Mayor said:  “Eastwood is one of our busiest shopping precincts and these new waste/recycling stations are a welcome addition to Council’s cleansing and waste services in keeping the area clean and attractive for shoppers, retailers, workers and diners.”

The capacity of the new bin stations is 2x140L (140L rubbish or waste and 140L for co-mingled recycling, ie paper, glass, plastic and steel, and aluminium cans). An internal separate butt bin is also included.
 
Forty two, new stainless Butt Bins have been installed around the city at Council buildings, railway entrances and busy bus stops.
