International Women's Day Art Prize and Exhibition
You are invited to participate in the International Women's Day art competition and exhibition. This is to celebrate the achievements of women artists who live, work, study or play in the City of Ryde.
Open to artists from either gender, 12 years and over, who live, work, study or play in the City of Ryde.
Artworks in all disciplines including painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, photography, new media art, ceramic and textile art.
Artworks can connect to any themes surrounding women. Artists are encouraged to respond to this year’s theme: ‘Selfless Acts’
Open to artists who identify as a professional or practicing full-time artist 18 years and over.
Open to members of the community who, do not (yet) identify as a professional artist, 18 years and over. This category encourages those who study art, practice art as a hobby, or as part of a community group.
Open to members of the community who identify as a student, hobby artist or professional artist between the age of 16 and 25.
People's Choice Award
Open to all applicants who are selected for the exhibition in any category. Audiences will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite artwork in the exhibition.
Successful entrants into the exhibition and category prize winners will be selected by:

Katrina Cashman – Assistant Director and Senior Curator, Mosman Art Gallery.

Entries close at 5pm, Monday 17 February 2014.
Artists who have been successful will be notified by email and their names will be posted on the City of Ryde website by Wednesday 26 February 2014.
Artists will need to deliver their selected artwork to See Street Gallery, Sydney Gallery School at the Meadowbank Campus of The Northern Sydney Institute - part of TAFE NSW, See Street Gallery, See Street, Meadowbank on Friday 28 February between 10am and 6pm OR Saturday 1 March between 10am and 4pm.
