Each school holidays City of Ryde hosts a variety of activities and programs to keep our local kids busy.

Activities at the City of Ryde Libraries

For each holiday there is a theme, with lots of activities including crafts, story times and singalongs. Participants must have their own Library Membership Card to book.

Activities at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre (RALC)

Holiday Intensive Swim Program

Under the new rainbow arches at RALCConsecutive days of ‘Learn to Swim’ lessons rapidly develop skills and confidence in swimmers. Specific skills programs for butterfly and breaststroke development, as well as the unique ‘Take Your Marks’ program (learning racing techniques for starts, turns and finishes) are also available.

Fun in the pools!

The wave pool and giant slide operate daily throughout the school holidays*, and you might also like to try out our new fun features: the rainbow water arches and tipping buckets. The water temperature at the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre is a pleasant 29° all year round and you’ll never have problems with sunburn, sand in your cossie or bluebottles!

Guided Walks

School Holidays at Waterloo Park and Tree Planting
17 April 2014 - Enjoy a guided walk through natural areas of Waterloo Park and learn about the importance of trees and preserving our natural environment. Join in a tree planting session and make your own contribution towards the environment.
