 Country Council Partnership Advisory Committee

 

   
Role

The primary role of the Country Council Partnership Advisory Committee is to:

  • consider and review partnership proposals submitted by Council or the community
  • generate ideas for new partnership proposals
  • promote the partnership to the community, business and government agencies to seek sponsorship and/or in-kind support for projects
  • foster open communication with Central Darling Shire and its local community
  • develop a Memorandum of Understanding for adoption by both Councils

Responsibilities 

The Country Council Partnership Advisory Committee is responsible for providing advice on:

  • recommending the allocation of funds for partnership projects for approval by Council or approval within the delegation of the General Manager seeking, evaluating and endorsing sponsorship initiatives by external parties
  • applying for State and Federal Government grant funding in support of partnership initiatives
  • monitoring the progress and effectiveness of partnership initiatives and ensure compliance with the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding
  • issuing Media Releases promoting the partnership initiatives reporting to Council at least 2 times per annum on the progress of partnership initiatives
