Role
The primary role of the Joint Library Services Advisory Committee is to:
- Provide advice on areas of common interest, particularly for the Gladesville Library, but also including advice on services such as Local Studies, Home Library Services, the Toy Library and Outreach Services that are available to residents of Hunters Hill and adjoining areas.
- Promote the Ryde/Hunters Hill Library Service within the participating communities to encourage increased community participation.
The Committee has been established in accordance with the Joint Library Agreement between City of Ryde and Hunters Hill Council.
Responsibilities
The Joint Library Services Advisory Committee is responsible for:
- Assisting service planning and development by reporting feedback from community and other sources to the participating Councils.
- Receiving copies of reports pertaining to the Ryde/Hunters Hill Library Service provided to residents of Hunters Hill and adjoining areas.
The Joint Library Service Advisory Committee has an advisory role only and decision making responsibility will rest with the City of Ryde and Hunters Hill Council. Responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Joint Library Service will reside with the City of Ryde.
