The Ryde Environmental Education Network (REEN) has been established to provide an effective and efficient channel for distributing environmental education resources and support to schools.
The Network is intended to offer the following to teachers & schools

a forum where teachers can discuss environmental initiatives;

a link between Council and schools;

an opportunity to share learning and experiences relating to sustainable schools and environmental education;

professional development opportunities relating to environment/sustainability education;
-
practical ideas to integrate environmental education into the curriculum;

efficient ways to seek resources;
-
partnership opportunities between schools and other organisations;
-
an informative newsletter each term.
REEN is a member of the following
REEN is free to join and local schools are encouraged to participate.
The first quarterly network newsletter will include information on new and exciting environmental education programs and initiatives. Newsletters are to be sent to each school in the first week of term and will be available for download on this website.
The network will meet on a quarterly basis to provide teachers and Council with opportunities to discuss environmental issues.
