Planning Proposal - 61 Lane Cove Rd & 5 Myra Ave, Ryde

City of Ryde Council is seeking community comment for the Planning Proposal at 61 Lane Cove Road and 5 Myra Avenue, Ryde, up until Friday 28 October 2016. 

What is the planning proposal?

The Planning Proposal seeks to:

  • Amend Ryde Local Environment Plan 2014 (RLEP 2014) Land Zoning Map to rezone the land from part SP2 Infrastructure- Place of Public Worship and part R2 Low Density Residential to SP2 Infrastructure- Place of Public Worship and Educational Establishment
  • Amend RLEP 2014 Lot Size Map to remove the current minimum lot size control of 580m2 and have no minimum lot size (the remaining portion of 61 Lane Cove Road has no minimum lot size)
  • Amend RLEP 2014 Height of Buildings Map to remove the current Maximum Building Height of 9.5 metres and have no height control (the remaining portion of 61 Lane Cove Road has no height control); and
  • Amend RLEP 2014 Floor Space Ratio (FSR) Map to remove the current FSR control of 0.5:1 and have no floor space ratio control (the remaining portion of 61 Lane Cove Road has no floor space ratio control).

Note - The Department of Planning and Environment on 9 September 2016 advised that the planning proposal can proceed to public exhibition. Council has also issued delegation to exercise the functions of the Greater Sydney Commission with respect to the making of the Local Environmental Plan.

    Political Gifts and Donations

    Please note that in accordance with the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979, a person who makes a public submission to Council in relation to a Planning Proposal is required to disclose the following reportable political donations and gifts (if any) made by a person making the submission (or any associate of that person) within the period commencing two years before the submission is made and ending with when the Planning Proposal is made:

    • All reportable political donations made to any councillor
    • All gifts made to any councillor, candidate or employee
