• AskNow! is a collaborative service offered by over 100 librarians from National and State Libraries of Australasia, providing information and research help. Ask Now! is a virtual reference service staffed by librarians in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. It aims to provide high quality information to users, with the convenience of immediate, online communication. By completing a web form users can submit a question and chat to a librarian who will help find high quality information. 
• The Australia/NZ Reference Centre - combines Australia and New Zealand specific magazines, newspapers & news wires, reference books, and company information to create the largest collection of regional full text content available to schools, public libraries, and academic institutions. This database provides local perspectives on current events, business, sports, and many other subjects. Examples of titles offered in Australia/NZ Reference Centre include: Australia & World Affairs, Australia Country Report, Australian Geographic, Family Matters, Management, Marketing Bulletin, New Zealand Country Report, Time Australia, and many others.

• CIA World Fact Book - The CIA World Fact Book has country information constantly updated. Country entries include sections on Land, Water, People, Government, Economy, Communications, and Defense Forces.

• Encyclopedia Britannica Online - this site provides access to four complete encyclopedias (Encyclopaedia Britannica, Britannica Student, Britannica Junior, and Britannica Concise Encyclopedia) as well as video, multimedia, current journals & magazines, the Year in Review, notable quotations, Merriam-Webster's Student Dictionary & Thesaurus, and the World Atlas.

• Info Please Almanac - an almanac offering millions of useful and interesting facts on a wide range of topics.
• Internet Public Library - the IPL is a virtual library on your desktop created and managed by librarians dedicated to serving the public by "finding, evaluating, selecting, and organising, quality information resources."
• Keesings World News Archives - records the world's significant political, social and economic events. Among the events covered are elections and changes of government; wars, treaties, appointments, and diplomacy; terrorism and issues of internal security; legislation, budgets, economic developments and international agreements; actions by the UN and other international organisations; natural disasters, environmental issues, and scientific discoveries.
• Masterfile Premier - provides full text for more than 2,100 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also includes nearly 650 full text reference books, 84,074 biographies, 86,135 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

• Old Farmer's Almanac - Since 1792, The Old Farmer's Almanac has published useful information for people in all walks of life: tide tables for those who live near the ocean; sunrise tables and planting charts for those who live on the farm; recipes for those who live in the kitchen; and forecasts for those who don't like the question of weather left up in the air.
• Opposing Viewpoints Resource Centre - for information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.

• Sydney Morning Herald Archives - Search every edition of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun-Herald between 1955-1990 for FREE. All articles, captions and advertisements are fully keyword searchable. Search birth, death and marriage notices. A subscription must be purchased to view the articles in full.
• Times Digital Archive 1785-1985 - researchers can search through the complete digital edition of The Times (London), using keyword searching and hit-term highlighting to retrieve full facsimile images of either a specific article or a complete page. The entire newspaper is captured, with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos divided into categories to facilitate searching. Useful for historical information, including family history.

• World Book Online - Online reference source providing a fully comprehensive authoritative encyclopedia offering links to authoritative Websites. Includes all articles from the 22-volume Print Edition plus over 3,700 more.
