The City of Ryde has provided a professional, high-quality Immunisation Service to the local community for over 40 years. The twice-a-month clinic runs out of the Argyle Centre Hall at 33 Blaxland Road, Ryde.
This award-winning service is available for all children from newborn to five years of age, regardless of place of residence, and has become the model for other local councils to conduct their own immunisation services.
The City of Ryde Immunisation Program:
• Provides an efficient, reliable and caring immunisation service.
• Holds morning and evening clinics on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the hall at the Argyle Centre, 33 Blaxland Road, Ryde.
Times: 9.30am-11.30am. 6.30pm- 8.30pm.
• Attracts an average of 70 patients per session.
• Employs a team of fully accredited Immunisation Nurses with many years of immunisation experience as well as paediatric expertise who
administer the vaccines in a professional manner.
• Maintains a computerised record keeping service, automatically sending out letters to notify parents and carers that their child is due for immunisation.
• Provides the latest information on new vaccines and immunisation schedules.
An administration fee of $3.50 per child attending is requested.
Immunisation Program Registration Cards can be downloaded from the City's website www.ryde.nsw.gov.au, by phoning the Immunisation Coordinator on 9952 8268. Registration Cards are also available through early childhood centres (immunisation services are not available at these centres).
The Australian Government supports immunisation as the safest and most effective way of protecting children and controlling childhood diseases in the community such as:
• Diphtheria/Tetanus/Whooping Cough/Polio/Hib (Haemophilus influenzae typeB)/Hepatitis B
• Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR)
• Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• Meningococcal
• Pneumococcal (Prevenar)
• Rotavirus (Rotarix)
