How can I be involved?
Residents
Do you live here, do you want to live here, will your children live here?
Residents can become involved or have their say on the future of the Ryde Local Government Area through the numerous engagement opportunities.
Residents are also represented on each of the Theme Committees.
Businesses
Do you work or own a business in the area, are you thinking of buying a business in the area?
Businesses can become involved or have their say through the numerous engagement opportunities. There will also be a specific workshop for businesses to provide input into the process in September 2009.
Businesses may be able to assist in supporting the implementation of a strategy to achieve the vision.
If you would be interested in attending a focus group targeting businesses and community organisations to identify how you can contribute to achieving the vision, please email ryde2030@ryde.nsw.gov,au
The project team will also have a display and officially launch the project at the Ryde Business and Sustainability Expo on 5 August 2009.
Community Organisations
Do you operate or work in a local community organisation delivering services to our community? Do you need to plan for future services?
There are a large number of community organisations that deliver services to the Ryde community. These groups will need to be involved in the development of the strategies to achieve the vision, as they often provide the on ground services to the community.
Community groups can use the vision for the area as a strategic planning document to guide their service over the next 20 years.
If you would be interested in attending a focus group in September, targeting businesses and community organisations to identify how you can contribute to achieving the vision, please email ryde2030@ryde.nsw.gov,au

State Government
The State Government, like all stakeholders, is able to provide feedback throughout the engagement opportunities.
State Government representatives are involved in the Theme Committees, there will be discussions with individual state government departments throughout the process if needed, and specific workshops during September for state government agencies to discuss possible strategies.
It is important for the State Government to understand the vision for the area and to identify what the State Government and its agencies can do to deliver on the strategies outlined in the Community Strategic Plan. State Government policies will impact this vision and need to be carefully considered.
