COMMUNITY DRUG ACTION TEAM

Ryde Safe CommunitiesRyde Safe Communities

The City of Ryde has taken a proactive approach to the potential for drug and alcohol related issues in the area by forming this
important partnership between Health, Police, Council, Non-government community based services, Premiers Department and
   Local residents.

The Ryde Community Drug Action Team (Ryde CDAT) is an initiative that came out of the National Drug Summit, formed in
2003, which looks to the community to identify and address drug and alcohol related issues at a ‘grass roots’ level.

The City of Ryde Council, the third local government in northern Sydney to host a community drug action team, endorsed the
formation of the Ryde CDAT as a positive way to be proactive and minimise drug and alcohol related harm
