ELS Hall Park Synthetic Project

A new synthetic, multi-purpose playing surface, suitable for AFL, soccer and cricket, has been installed at ELS Hall Park by the Council.

The new football turf conforms to FIFA Quality 1 Star recommendation, as well as AFL and Cricket Australia community surface requirements.

Using 100% cork infill, this new synthetic surface assists in reducing the impact of heat and is environmentally friendly. ELS Hall Park is the first playing field in Australia to use this technology.

The Synthetic Project(PDF, 1MB) includes the installation of the synthetic surface, as well as new drainage, pathways, fencing and tree root barriers. The new multi-purpose synthetic surface also caters for social sports and school groups.
