Why do we 'Love Eastwood'? It is because Eastwood is a popular destination to eat, shop and play.

City of Ryde would like to encourage people to shop locally in Eastwood Town Centre and help businesses grow, by running a Love Eastwood Gift Card program.

Love Eastwood Gift Card Program

During the Lunar New Year period (12 - 26 February 2021), the City of Ryde gave away $40,000 in gift cards to be spent by customers in businesses who joined the Love Eastwood Gift Card program.

This program is aimed at keeping money within communities. Gift cards are valid until 30 June 2022.

Q. How do I win a gift card?
Unfortunately, the opportunity to win a gift card has now passed. All gift cards have been sent out to winners by registered post.  

Q. How can we check the balance of the card?
Log onto www.whyleavetown.com and click on the balance check icon. Enter the card number and pin to see the balance as well as a list of all transactions made on the card.

Q. How much is loaded on the cards?
$100 is pre-loaded onto the cards.

Q. How many times can I use the Gift Card?
The cards have a load once, use many times functionality. This means that the value which is loaded onto the card cannot be added to and the card can be spent all at once, or a little at a time.

Q. What happens if the card is lost or damaged?
If you know the card number then the card can be replaced. It is encouraged that cards are registered by consumers at www.whyleavetown.com.

Q. Do the cards expire?
Yes, they do expire as they are being given away and not sold. The cards expire on 30 June 2022.

Q. How do I know if a business accepts the gift cards?
You will be able to access an interactive map from the beginning of March listing the businesses involved in the gift card program. Businesses will also display a Love Eastwood sticker on shop windows.
