Published on 22 July 2019

Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre (RALC) is now home to a brand new Problem Waste Drop-Off Station!

Problem Waste Drop-off Stations are for City of Ryde residents to safely dispose of household hazardous waste items that are not allowed in your kerbside red, yellow or green lid bins. These items can include:

  • household batteries
  • mobile phones and accessories
  • ink cartridges
  • light bulbs and globes*.

There are seven Problem Waste Drop-Off Stations around the City of Ryde, including at our Operations Centre, Customer Service Centre, West Ryde Library, Tzu Chi Australia, Eden Gardens and Macquarie University, in addition to the one at the RALC.

To find out what you can dispose of and the locations of the stations, visit our Problem Waste Drop-Off Stations webpage.

*Please note, light bulbs and globes are not accepted at the RALC Drop-Off Station only. Other items on the list are accepted.
