New opening hours for City of Ryde Libraries

City of Ryde Libraries will see new opening hours at its five branches from Monday 1 August 2022.

This will include extended opening hours across the majority of locations in response to community needs and provide greater opportunities for leisure and learning.

Changes to the opening hours will include:

  • Ryde, North Ryde, West Ryde and Eastwood branches will now open earlier at 9:30am from Monday to Saturday.
  • Eastwood Library opening times will be extended to 8pm from Tuesday to Thursday, improving access for students and commuters.
  • Saturday hours will be extended to 2pm at Eastwood Library, to improve study time options for students.
  • Saturday hours will be extended to 2pm at North Ryde and Gladesville Libraries, to allow for early literacy programs to be held on Saturdays for busy parents.

The new hours will be as follows, effective 1 August 2022:

Beyond the opening hours City of Ryde Library service continues to deliver new initiatives to support the community, including the newly installed Book Locker for 24/7 pick-up of loans. The Book Locker is located at Gladesville Library and is available to all members for a quick and convenient way to grab your next read.

Council continues to expand its Online Library eCollections, providing greater access to leisure and learning reading plus streaming of movies and TV shows, all available free to City of Ryde Members.
