Published on 06 March 2019

The City of Ryde would like to thank all local members of the community, schools and businesses who participated in this year’s Clean Up Australia Day.

There were a total of 40 clean-up sites across the City of Ryde. These included:

• 6 businesses

• 18 schools

• 5 youth groups

• 11 community groups

City of Ryde is proud to support Clean Up Australia Day as it aligns with Council’s aim to reduce waste and protect the natural environment.

This was the 30th anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day. The first event was staged in 1989 by the late Ian Kiernan and is now recognised as the one of the world’s largest environmental campaigns.
