Support the Ryde Salvos' Digital Doorknock in May

Published on 18 May 2020

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal is being done a little differently this year. The appeal will still be happening during the month of May as a 'Digital Doorknock.'

The City of Ryde has started its own fundraiser as part of the Red Shield Appeal, with all funds going to the Ryde Salvos team, which covers from Epping through to Hunters Hill/Gladesville and down through Eastwood, West Ryde to Meadowbank and Putney.

The Salvos will be assisting those who are living in extreme hardship; people who have never needed us before the devastating impacts of this pandemic; and the people who have never felt so isolated and alone as they do right now.

Donations may go towards:

  • Helping a child at risk with an after school program
  • Providing a food hamper for a family in need
  • Providing emergency accommodation for a person in crisis
  • Providing two weeks' rent for a disadvantaged person.

To donate, visit the City of Ryde Digital Doornock Page and donate online.
