Road Closures

Road closures and traffic changes will be in effect around Eastwood from:
5.30pm Friday 14 October to 11.00pm pm Saturday 15 October (or until safe to re-open)

Festival Road and Car Park Closures

The following closures will be in place from 5.00pm Friday 14 October until 10.00pm (or until streets are cleared) on Saturday 15 October:

  • Rowe Street - between Shaftsbury Rd and the Avenue
  • Trelawney Street - between Rowe St and Eastwood Centre carpark entry 
  • Progress Avenue
  • Hillview Road - between Lakeside Road and West Parade
  • Hillview Lane car park

The following road will be closed from 6.00am until 7.00pm on Saturday 15 October: 

  • Lakeside Road - between Glen Street and The Avenue (car park access only beyond Glen Street)
  • Hillview Lane - between Shaftsbury Road and Lakeside Road

The following road will be closed from 5.00am until 10.00 pm on Saturday 15 October or until safe to re-open: 

  • West Parade - between Wingate Ave and the West Parade Overpass

Parade Road Closures

The following roads will be closed from 5.00am - 11.00am on Saturday 15 October for the street parade:

  • Lakeside Road - between Wingate Avenue and Hillview Road

The following roads will be closed from 8.00am - 11.00am on Saturday 15 October for the street parade:

  • Lakeside Road - between Wingate Avenue and Glen Street
  • Clive Road

The following roads will be closed from approximately 9.00am - 11.00am on Saturday 15 October for the street parade:

  • Shaftsbury Road - between Terry Road and Rutledge Street
  • Hillview Road - between Terry Road and Lakeside Road
  • Glen Street
  • Rowe Street - between Shaftsbury Road and Tarrants Avenue
  • Richards Avenue - between Auld Avenue and Shaftsbury Road

Glen Street Car Park - exit closures for duration of parade

All Glen Street car park exits will be closed from 9.00am - 11.00am on Saturday 15 October for the street parade:

  • no entry or exit to the car park will be allowed between 9.00am - 11.00am or until the street parade has passed.
  • if you have not exited the car park before 9.00am, please be patient and enjoy the parade. 

Temporary No Stopping zones

Temporary No Stopping zones will be in place from 4.00pm on Friday 14 October until roads re-open on Saturday 15 October at the following locations:

  • both sides of Hillview Road between Lakeside Road and West Parade.

Temporary No Stopping zones will be in place from 6.00am - 10.00pm on Saturday 15 October at the following locations:

  • the southern side of Rutledge Street between Trelawney Street and Shaftsbury Road
  • Lakeside road between Hillview Road and Clive Avenue.

Temporary No Right Turn conditions on Shaftsbury Road

There will be no right turn northbound from Shaftsbury Road into Hillview Lane from 8.00am - 7.00pm on Saturday 15 October.

Vehicle access to the accessible drop-off zone in Hillview Lane is via Shaftsbury Road southbound – left turn only. There will be no right turn permitted for vehicles exiting Hillview Lane into Shaftsbury Road.

Please note: During the Parade temporary closure no access will be granted to the drop-off zone.

Changes to bus routes / stops

Due to the closure of West Parade, all buses have been diverted to pick up and set down on the East side of Eastwood Train Station.

The following bus routes will be affected and bus diversions in place from 5.00pm Friday 14 October to 11.00pm on Saturday 15 October:

  • 545 (Friday and Sat)
  • 515 (Sat Only)
  • 544 (Sat Only)
  • 521 (Sat Only)
